About Troop 4
Scouts BSA Troop 4 has been in existence for over 70 years and is one of the oldest and most active Scouts BSA troops in the Middle Tennessee Council. On this page, you can find information about our troop's history and accomplishments!
Scouting's Journey to Excellence (JTE) is the BSA aspirational planning, performance and recognition program designed to encourage and reward success of units, districts, and councils. It is meant to encourage excellence and continuous improvement in providing a quality program at all levels of the BSA. This program was phased out on December 31, 2024.
Units that complete certain Journey to Excellence objectives can be recognized in one of three levels: Bronze (effective), Silver (excellent) or Gold (exceptional). Congratulations to the members of Troop 4 on a successful program!

Welcome to the website for Scouts BSA Troop 4, which is sponsored by the Franklin Rotary Club in Franklin, Tennessee.
Troop 4 is among the oldest and most engaged troops within the Middle Tennessee Council. In 2021, the troop celebrated its 70th anniversary of chartered service to the Middle Tennessee Council. The troop gathers on Monday evenings from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall at South End United Methodist Church, located at 5042 Edmondson Pike, Nashville, TN. Our troop organizes at least one campout or activity each month, including a week-long summer camp every June! Scouts from our troop have taken part in high-adventure experiences, such as canoeing at the Northern Tier High Adventure Base, aquatic activities at the Florida National Sea Base, hiking at the Philmont Scout Ranch, and attending a National Jamboree!
